Make your own eggnog quick and easy


6 egg yolks (size M)
1 vanilla pod
175 g sugar
300 g cream
150 ml white rum

Step 1:

Put the egg yolks in a bowl. Cut the vanilla pod lengthways and scrape out the pulp. Add to the egg yolks along with the sugar. Prepare two 400 ml bottles.

Step 2:

Beat the egg yolks and sugar in a saucepan over a hot water bath with a whisk until frothy. Add the cream and alcohol and continue to heat for about 4 minutes while stirring. Pour into prepared, clean bottles and seal.

If kept cool, the eggnog will last for about 8 weeks.
